Automotive piston, which is connected by a piston rod and crankshaft, the process is as follows:

       1. The piston starts at the top, the intake valve opens, the piston moves down, and the mixture is drawn in

       2. The piston moves to the top to compress the gas mixture, making the explosion even more powerful.

       3. When the piston reaches the top, the spark plug sparks to ignite the mixture, the explosion so that the piston moves down again.

       4. The piston reaches the bottom, the exhaust valve opens, the piston moves upward, and exhaust gas exits the cylinder from the exhaust pipe.

       Note: The resulting internal combustion engine is rotating, the piston reciprocating linear motion eventually converted by the crankshaft rotation, so as to drive the car tires.

       Automotive piston principle:

       Four-stroke engines include four processes: intake-compression-combustion-exhaust, during which the pressure at the top of the piston constantly changes cyclically, causing the piston to move back and forth up and down. In this way, the chemical energy of the internal combustion engine fuel is converted into the kinetic energy of the piston up and down, and the piston acts as a medium for this conversion.

       The role of car piston:

       1. Make up the combustion chamber, bear the gas force, and pass it to the connecting rod.

       2. Sealed cylinder to prevent gas leakage and lubricating oil fleeing into the combustion chamber.

       3. Pass the heat to the cylinder wall.

       4. Pass the side pressure of the connecting rod to the cylinder wall

       Piston performance requirements:

       To have sufficient rigidity and strength, force transmission reliable;

       Good thermal conductivity, high pressure, high temperature, wear resistance;

       Small mass, light weight, minimize the reciprocating inertia force.
